The Old Globe, in collaboration with the George L. Stevens Senior Resource Center, presents our fourth annual Juneteenth performance presentation as part of the Center’s Juneteenth festival. We are hosting this event on our digital platforms in honor of the day and as a benefit for the Center. This event will include: video excerpts from past coLAB Juneteenth performance presentations such as\u00c2 The Ruby in Us<\/em>\u00c2 and\u00c2 Elizabeth Hobbs Keckley: From Slavery to Modiste<\/em>; a reading of the new play\u00c2 Ode to My Mothers<\/em>\u00c2 by Joy Yvonne Jones, directed by Delicia Turner Sonnenberg; music; spoken word; crafts; at-home activities; an educational presentation that shares the story and history of the holiday; and much more!<\/p>\n

The Juneteenth Presentation event was live-streamed online on\u00c2 The Old Globe Facebook Page<\/u><\/a>\u00c2 and\u00c2 The Old Globe Arts Engagement Facebook Page<\/u><\/a>,\u00c2 The Old Globe YouTube Channel<\/u><\/a>, and on The Old Globe’s website. All proceeds will go directly to the George L. Stevens Senior Resource Center via a\u00c2 GoFundMe campaign<\/u><\/a>\u00c2 available during the Facebook event.<\/p>\n\t\t
