These writings became a series of 30 essays completed between 1946 – 1960. These Essays were comprised into a book entitled: Towards The African Renaissance.\nThe substance of these essays are Diop’s ideas that build upon overviews of the history of Africa and how a stronger and more vitalized image can be created with Africa being among the thriving leader in major aspects of society. Those aspects are concentrated with focus on: Science, technology, political and economic transformations, education and culture and the role that media and telecommunications plays in how Africa is portrayed.\nThis movement is further prioritized by the advancements that were made by the former President of South Africa: Thabo Mbeki. During his time as Deputy President. This African Renaissance is a major force today for the post- apartheid intellectual agendas in the country.\nCurrently- with the established Black Rock Senegal Residency in place; located in Dakar, the capital of Senegal – American Artist Kehinde Wiley has founded an Artistic and Creative organization that is giving power, affluence and voice to the rich works that’s being created. The strength in this pursuit fuels the life of dreams that had not come to full realization between African Descendants and the United States.
