1918 - 1930

Birthed in the New York City Neighborhood of Harlem, The Harlem Renaissance was the Premier Golden Age in African American life for Culture, Art, Literature and Musical Excellence. Spanning the 1920's through the 1930's opportunities and advancements were rich with creativity in theatre, fashion, dance and politics. It was a thriving experience of hope, independence and history making.
