ABT'S 2022 FALL SEASON October 20-30 at Lincoln Center
American Ballet Theatre: Join us this Fall Season for the World Premiere of Christopher Rudd’s new work LIFTED, as well as ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky’s full-length ballet WHIPPED CREAM. Repertory works by Ratmansky, Frederick Ashton, Jiří Kylián, and Jessica Lang will round out the season, which marks Kevin McKenzie’s final New York season as Artistic Director.

Jazz at Lincoln Center: Jazz at Lincoln Center’s 2022–23 concert season is all about exploring the global community of jazz. Take a global tour through The House of Swing beginning with a U.S. premiere of Wynton Marsalis’s The Shanghai Suite performed by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, followed by a celebration of towering Cuban pianist and composer Chucho Valdes’s 81st Birthday, a musical journey paying tribute to guitarist-composer Django Reinhardt by guitarist Stéphane Wrembel, a JLCO with Wynton Marsalis performance featuring iconic Iraqi oud virtuoso Naseer Shamma, and world premiere music by Colombian harpist Edmar Castaneda and Cuban pianist Elio Villafranca performed by the JLCO with special guest Paquito D’Rivera. Plus, performances by Rosa Passos with NEA Jazz Masters Kenny Barron and Ron Carter, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Kurt Elling, returning favorites Steve Miller, Dianne Reeves, and Cécile McLorin Salvant, and much more! The Old Globe, in collaboration with the George L. Stevens Senior Resource Center, presents our fourth annual Juneteenth performance presentation as part of the Center’s Juneteenth festival. We are hosting this event on our digital platforms in honor of the day and as a benefit for the Center. This event will include: video excerpts from past coLAB Juneteenth performance presentations such as The Ruby in Us and Elizabeth Hobbs Keckley: From Slavery to Modiste; a reading of the new play Ode to My Mothers by Joy Yvonne Jones, directed by Delicia Turner Sonnenberg; music; spoken word; crafts; at-home activities; an educational presentation that shares the story and history of the holiday; and much more!
The Juneteenth Presentation event was live-streamed online on The Old Globe Facebook Page and The Old Globe Arts Engagement Facebook Page, The Old Globe YouTube Channel, and on The Old Globe's website. All proceeds will go directly to the George L. Stevens Senior Resource Center via a GoFundMe campaign available during the Facebook event.
