In the Spring of 2008, Juriela Amaya moved to San Antonio from Katy, Texas. She studied Spanish and business at the University of Texas at San Antonio and proceeded to work in a fast, competitive finance environment, building long lasting friendships and partnerships along the way. Passionate about her Latina roots, the move to San Antonio was a natural fit. In her free time, Juriela loves to go exploring the beautiful Alamo City with her husband Rick. Fate would reunite her with her colleague Melissa Bryant and reignite her passion for writing and translating. It was Melissa’s positivity and her willingness to overcome all obstacles that undoubtedly motivated Juriela to help Melissa in realizing her dreams of having her very own art publication. For Juriela, it has truly been a humbling experience to work beside Melissa and be a part of the team that made her vision a reality.
